sorry its been awhile since ive been able to tell yall about band. our first contest is on saturday and hopefully we will do well. we put some body mvmts on the field so that we will be constantly moving to match the title of the show, perpetual motion. wish us luck and talk to yall soon.

marketing info management

today in class we switched gears from distribution to market info management
(mim). MIM is buisness dicipline which is focused on the practical applications of marketing techniques and the management of a company's marketing resources and activities, such as focus groups.
Focus groups are basically a group of guinea pigs who are given a few products to test and then choose the one they like best so that the company knows.
In class we did our own focus group activity where the class had 3 different sodas to choose from. We tried some of each one and then decided which we liked best. It turned out that our class chose the store brand soda instead of the name brand.

marketing distribution

today in our marketing class we learned about distribution. Distribution is how you get the product from point a to point be as quickly and safely as possible. The activity was for us to transport water and salt from one side of the room to the other. Our tools given for this activity were a napkin a spoon and a straw. My team decided to turn the napkin into a cup and spoon the slt in since we cant pick up the warehouse (cup). Then for the water we sucked it up the straw without swallowing then ran across the room and spit it into the cup. unfortunately we did not win because we weren't aggressive enough .

now more on me

i know i have been telling y'all all about band but i've neglected to tell y'all about me. i really love country music but will listen to anything i love to eat and my favorite thing to watch is definately anything to do with sports or music. my favorite school subject is all sciences because i tend to do really well in them. my favorite elective is you guessed it... band!! my marketing rocks to im really looking to get life experience out of it because i plan to do something similar to this class with my life. i plan on improving my already good teamwork and people skills by dividing the work our team does evenly. i would make a great team member b/c im very likable and easy to get along with.

about me and the first two games

Hey im back. sorry i couldnt get back to you sooner but my life has been hecktick lately. our first game actually got rained out even though the football team played we had to leave. :( our second game however did not get rained out and things went very well considering it was the freshmens first game and we started in the wrong spots on the field. we have a whole 4 days off from band and our next game is friday against C. E. King
